Mental Health Sustainability Programme Minutes
The Mental Health Sustainability Programme hopes to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of small-medium sized voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations working in mental health.
By matching these organisations with private sector volunteers, we are able to increase capacity for these teams where perhaps they do not presently hold the expertise; upskill directors, CEOs and managers who are looking for a critical eye/mentor; and connect them with further information through our Learning Portal, as well as develop their networks.
Our vision is to create a more sustainable mental health sector from which people have access to opportunities, feel connected and included, and live healthy and fulfilling lives. These VCSE organisations, who are working to support greater mental health outcomes for people across England, are working extra hard through this pandemic; to keep their staff and beneficiaries safe, and their services up and running - and we believe that by connecting businesses with VCSE provider we can build a stronger, more sustainable sector that’s better able to support more people.
We are looking to support organisations who work to support the mental health and wellbeing of communities disproportionately impacted by Covid-19; with a focus on organisations that are led by and/or are supporting Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic communities. We will also be considering applications from organisations supporting other disadvantaged groups such as the homeless community, those in contact with the criminal justice system, children and young people, women and girls, victims of domestic violence etc.
