Organisation Description

CASS+ is an independent charity that works alongside the courts in Devon and Cornwall to support both offenders and victims. They give advice and support from court settings without judgement, but with respect and fairness to vulnerable people who are at risk; often this can span a wide range of mental health issues. They are based within four magistrates’ courts in Truro, Bodmin, Plymouth and Newton Abbot.

About the opportunity

CASS+ are looking for advice and support on their strategic planning, particularly to help them create greater definition for new role(s) in their workforce around fundraising and marketing, and for the CEO role, going forward. In recent months, this facet of their thinking has gained momentum but they are looking for a steer from a private sector partner who can help them efficiently embed this thinking into the organisation, They want to expand their reach (and therefore their workforce) in these areas of fundraising and marketing, and as a first step feel it would be helpful to look to their current strengths and evaluate where they have had success in the past. Their hope is that, with a renewed vision for their marketing and fundraising work, they will be in good stead for increased engagement and donations, and an appropriate recruitment and induction process for these never-before-held roles. Some of this work may encompass the legal and financial considerations to online fundraising platforms and more, and alternative volunteers can be brought in to support that if outside of the initial volunteer’s scope. With regards the CEO role they are looking at support with progression planning and would love a guide from an individual who has reviewed these higher positions in the workforce, explored shared roles and more.
