Dania Hanif

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Dania Hanif is Interim Chief Executive of the Association of Mental Health Providers, the national representative body for voluntary and community sector organisations delivering mental health services across England and Wales. She leads the organisation’s work to strengthen the voice, visibility, and sustainability of community-based mental health providers within the wider health and care system.

Dania joined the Association in 2016 and has held a number of senior roles spanning policy, communications, and programme leadership before becoming Director of Policy and Programmes and, in 2025, Interim Chief Executive. Dania has led major partnership and funding initiatives designed to strengthen the sustainability of the sector, alongside national policy work addressing mental health inequalities and the role of community-based services in modern mental health systems.

As Interim Chief Executive, Dania provides leadership across the organisation’s strategy, partnerships, programmes, and governance, working closely with the Board of Trustees, members, and partners across the health and care system.

Alongside her work at the Association, Dania is Chair of Remembering Srebrenica’s London and South East Regional Board, where she leads civic remembrance and community engagement activity focused on genocide awareness, social cohesion, and challenging hatred. She holds a BA (Hons) in History from SOAS, University of London.
