3rd Sector Care Awards – Winners

Yesterday MHPF were proud to have supported the 3rd Sector Care Awards, for the third time since their launch in 2014. We were pleased to see nominations of such a high calibre signifying the hard work and innovative practice in the not-for-profit care and support sector.

Kathy Roberts, MHPF’s Chief Executive, who was also a member of the judging panel for the Awards, commented:

“The standard of nominees for this year’s 3rd Sector Care Awards was extremely high, with so many organisations and individuals carrying out exceptional projects and innovative practices, which made judging a difficult task this year. However, it must be said that all finalists and winners are well-deserved in their recognition.

All of the finalists and winners are making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people and their work in the care and support sector is commendable. It has been a privilege to be a part of the judging panel for such an important event, and despite all the challenges the care and support sector faces, the day itself was incredibly inspiring and shows the impact we can have on people who need our support.”

Amongst the winners were Community Integrated Care and Widnes Vikings who won the Innovative Quality Outcomes and the Citizenship Award – two organisations partnering together to promote social inclusion for people with care needs, particularly those living with dementia. Port Sunlight River Park Team and Autism Together, winning the Community Engagement Award, are another inspiring partnership contributing to the whole local community through their creation of a park and wildlife haven. MHPF member, Certitude, won both awards for which they were nominated, one for utilising the creative arts and the other as part of the Lambeth Integrated Personalised Support Alliance – highlighting a model of best practice through their collaborative approach at the local level to devise new ways of offering services.

MHPF looks forward to supporting the 3rd Sector Care Awards once again next year on Wednesday 6 December 2017 – save the date!
