Jyoti joined Association of Mental Health Providers in January 2012 as the Finance Officer and is responsible for all the finance work. This includes invoicing, payments, payroll, VAT Returns, preparing the monthly management accounts and corresponding with the Revenue. She also manages the annual audit and assists the auditors in the preparation of the annual financial accounts. Jyoti is also responsible for providing financial information to the Chief Executive, the Treasurer and the Board of Trustees. She is passionate about the work that the Association does in supporting organisations that support people to manage and deal with mental health issues.
Prior to joining the Association, Jyoti worked for a top 20 medium sized accountancy firm in central London. She worked in the tax department as a personal tax adviser where she was responsible for a portfolio of 200 personal tax clients ranging from sole traders to high net worth individuals. Jyoti has also worked for other accountancy firms over the years where she has gained experience and developed her knowledge in accountancy and tax.
Jyoti has a degree in Accountancy and a professional qualification in taxation where she is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT).
Outside work Jyoti enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, theatre and Iyengar yoga.
