Rachel Peacock
Rachel joined Making Space as Executive Director of Development in 2013, bringing to the organisation her knowledge of small local and large national charities, and her experience as a commissioner and grant maker. Rachel was appointed as CEO of Making Space in 2017. Making Space is a national charity and leading provider of adult health and social care services, working with adults with care and support needs, and their carers, to lead independent and fulfilling lives for more than 35 years.
Starting her professional life as a Community Development Team Leader in the North West Rachel moved to the Community Foundation for Merseyside to become Director of Grants for six years. Rachel joined Action for Children in a commissioning role, moving into the position of Group Manager overseeing universal and preventative Children’s Services. She then became Business Development Manager at NYAS where she gained her first experience of working with adult social care.
Rachel graduated from Liverpool University with a BA (Hons) in English and History. She has a Diploma in Youth and Community Studies and is a qualified Advocate. Rachel is currently studying for an Executive MBA at Liverpool John Moores University.
