MHPF attends 3rd Sector Care Awards

Last week MHPF attended the 3rd Sector Care Awards, which celebrates innovation and excellence in the sector’s provision of care and support.

The awards are now in their second year and MHPF is proud to support this recognition of the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations across the sector. Hosted by Dame Esther Rantzen, the awards are an enjoyable event and this year featured performances from the Certitude Community Choirs and Dance Unity, the performing arts group who won last year’s Creative Arts Award for their work with Halas Homes. 

The judging panel praised the high calibre of entries across each category, with the winners announced as follows:

Innovative Quality Outcomes Award
Winner: Lisa Hopkins, Dimensions

Creative Arts Award
Winner: Kelly Henderson, Community Integrated Care

Community Engagement Award
Winner: Gary Hunter and Rob Birch, Together for Mental Wellbeing

Citizenship Award
Winner: Coastline’s Partner Programme, Coastline Housing

Leadership Award
Winner: Dr Helen Brown, Carers Trust Cambridgeshire

End of Life Care Award
Winner: Mount Ephraim House Care Team, Greensleaves Homes Trust

Collaboration (Integration) Award
Winner: Together for Mental Wellbeing

Technology Award
Winner: The Space Centre

Beyond Governance Award
Winner: Gill Boston, CLS Care Services LTD

Contribution to Sector Development Award
Winner: The National Activity Providers Association (NAPA)

Making a Difference Award
Winner: Jane Ashcroft, Anchor
