NHS 70 Youth Volunteering
As part of the 70th birthday celebrations, NHS England is working with its partners to support the development of volunteering across the service, with a particular focus upon the promotion of the NHS70 Youth Volunteering Campaign.
To launch this campaign and help it gather momentum over the coming months, NHSE have an exciting schedule of interactive webinars which will support Trusts and the voluntary sector to develop and share their youth volunteering initiatives and find out more about what others are doing.
‘Introducing the NHS70 Youth Volunteering Campaign Webinars ‘
At the end of last year, you may have seen communications from Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, National Medical Director of NHSE, in which he invited NHS Trusts and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisations (VCSE) to join the NHS70 Youth Volunteering Campaign. This campaign will support trusts and the voluntary sector to further develop youth volunteering, including signposting to the resources available and showcasing innovative work across the country.
Many organisations have already registered their interest, or given details of the activity they hope to undertake.
To kick-off the campaign, NHS England is running a series of interactive webinars between January and May 2018.
To sign-up for the sessions, please e-mail england.voluntarypartnerships@nhs.net stating the ones you would like to attend and log-in details will be sent to you.
The webinars will cover the following subjects:
February 2018 Youth volunteering case studies
March 2018 Recruiting and managing young volunteers
April 2018 The impact and value of youth volunteering
May 2018 Ensuring organisational buy-in for youth volunteering programmes
Details and times of the sessions will be held on the NHS70 website, where you can also sign-up to be part of the campaign.
