NICE are inviting comments for the draft quality standard on mental wellbeing and independence for older people

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) are currently inviting stakeholders to comment on the draft quality standard on mental wellbeing and independence for older people. The consultation will close on 14th July at 5pm.

This quality standard covers interventions to maintain and improve the mental wellbeing and independence of people aged 65 or older, and how to identify those at risk of a decline. It also covers people aged 55 or over who are ageing prematurely and are particularly at risk of the same physical and mental conditions. It does not cover the mental wellbeing and independence of people who live in a care home or attend one on a day-only basis.

The expected date of publication is in December 2016.
